24-02-2012 Touria has been busy with the recording of a new CD.

Written by

Touria has been busy with the recording of a new CD. It was quite an adventure! Together with Catalin Milea on saxophones and flute, Carlos Montero, double bass, Joeri Baldinger on drums and percussion, Rienk Rienks on piano and Fender- Rhodes, and Jan Verwey on harmonica, she has recorded several jazz standards and also original pieces.

The arrangements of Catalin and Carlos were beautiful and sometimes challenging! Some additional work still has to be done later this year. The recordings were made in Fattoria Musica, located in Osnabrück, Germany (www.fattoria-musica.com). It is a really beautiful location, run by Benno Glüsenkamp, with ample recording facilities and a beautiful grand piano. Recording engineer was Stephan van Wylick, a really great sound engineer with incredible ears! And...they speak Dutch very well!

Here some pictures of the preparations and the recording

...don't think of yourself as a jazz musician. Think of yourself as a human being who plays music
